Treatment-related dermatologic toxicities are reported in as many as 90% of patients with cancer and can be among the most distressing adverse events, causing emotional turmoil in addition to physical symptoms.
In an effort to improve quality of life and overall outcomes for patients who experience a dermatologic toxicity, APSHO is hosting a 1-hour live webinar that will help APs differentiate among types of rashes and lesions based on presentation and therapeutic context. Presented by two APs specializing in oncodermatology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, the webinar will provide visual examples of numerous treatment-related adverse events including lichenoid drug eruptions, bullous pemphigoid, and both acute and chronic radiation dermatitis. Dermatologic emergencies such as acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP), drug-induced hypersensitivity syndrome (formerly DRESS), and Stevens-Johnson Syndrome also are covered.
